It’s December, and it’s Christmas time, which means it’s once again time for Christmas in December – an annual tradition in which we at CiD world headquarters dive into the festive, jolly and sometimes mystifying world of holiday music that didn’t quite make it to the mainstream – or didn’t even try.
And this year? Why, bless my buttons, it’s the 20th time we’ve done this; an inadvertent Christmas tradition that began in 1996 with a few CDs, a bunch of blank cassette tapes, and a young man with no idea what he was getting himself into. Now, of course, there are no more cassette tapes, practically no more CDs, and the man is not so young anymore and has lower back problems.
It’s a new century (so they tell us), and we’re bringing CiD into the digital era – and we hope that you’ll share your comments and memories with what has grown into our weird little CiD family.
